Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the wholehearted one.

Crazy About
Jacques couldn’t resist asking, “Your tastes run to wolves?”
“I mean… what’s not to love? No such thing as a bad wolf. Or dog, for that matter.” Ginkgo’s ears angled in the direction of a faint howl. “Wolves were my way to rebel. To become someone else. To be part of something good.”
“An honorary Elderbough.”
“Nothing honorary about pack.” He casually added, “Just like there’s nothing halfhearted about devotion.”
Jacques dodged. Sort of. “What do the Elderboughs think of Sonnet?”
“You kidding? They’re crazy about him. And no wonder.” Ginkgo searched his face, then asked, “Ever hear him sing?”
