Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the outsiders.

All You Gotta Be
“We’ve kissed. Sonnet and I.”
Ginkgo didn’t look nearly as shocked or as concerned as his father had been. “Wolves always want a taste.”
“But this felt like a kiss.”
“Then it was.” Gingko slowed. “Y’know, wolves aren’t very good at explaining themselves. Words aren’t their first language. Or second. Or third. But this stuff doesn’t need words.”
“Granted.”
“You’re gonna be all Sonnet can see tonight. That kind of focus…? It’s pretty addicting.” Ginkgo added, “It’s also really rare for outsiders, but… really simple, too. No bluffs, no lies, no hedging. With wolves, all you gotta be is honest.”
