Inti’s gaze sharpened.
Jacques knew he’d been caught out, but he pasted on a smile.
Gripping Jacques’ shoulder, Inti pulled Jacques back to Michael’s side. “Here, here, hold.”
The ward offered half his chair.
Jacques sat and stayed quiet, savoring the casual closeness when Michael slipped a paternal arm around his back and reclaimed his hand.
Inti patted his head and plunked down to pinch and pull.
Smooth dome. Scalloped edge. Shallow depression.
As Inti added details, Jiminy squinted, “Wait. What?”
After repeated interruptions, Jacques drawled, “Just ship monkey-boy to America. Like an exchange student.”
Michael straightened. “I’ll ask Argent!”

Oh my goodness! That was funny😆 Good thing he is so good natured! I can’t imagine trying to watch and get anything that intricate done over a zoom call. Sometimes you just need to get hands on.
