“Can you see, Kurogi-kun?”
“Think so!” Jiminy gave a thumbs up. “Don’t move too fast, okay Inti?”
The monkey crosser batted his eyes at the camera, then whispered something to the orange stone Michael had surrendered.
“What was that? Did you start?”
“Nope, nein, nyet,” Inti answered, earning a soft giggle from Isla.
Jiminy sighed. “This is so much harder when I can’t feel the stone’s song.”
“I never know what’s going on until I walk into a barrier.”
“That must be… umm. Sorry, Jacques.”
“No need for pity or apologies. I can’t miss something I’ve never had,” lied Jacques.
