Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who is trying to be clear.

Put Another Way
“Catch me… as in catching the sort of moonbeam Paltry did?”
Sonnet took a patient tone. “Such encounters are rare.”
“But… what I mean… his partner’s male.” Jacques took a deep breath and forged ahead. “If I’m meant to guide you… oh, blast. Readying you for a male lover is vastly different from coaching you on the needs of a female one.”
Sonnet frowned. “Is it?”
Jacques frowned back. “Isn’t it?”
Gaze thoughtful, he asked, “Wouldn’t my lover’s needs be guide enough?”
“Lord.” Sinking to a seat on the edge of his bed, Jacques repeated, “Lord. There goes my heart.”

I recommend reading Bathed in Moonlight (Songs of the Amaranthine, #7) if you’d like more particulars. But yes, Churlish is a moonbeam.
