Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with a wild side.

That Certain Swagger
“Lord. You’re probably the reason Sonnet became a wolf.”
“I’m a dog.”
“A practicing dog. With wolvish swagger.” Jacques lowered his voice. “How could Sonnet not admire you?”
Sentinel’s bafflement only increased. “My son wears dresses. He aspires to motherhood.”
“Aspired and achieved,” Jacques countered. “And admired for it.”
“You admire him?”
“Her,” he gently chided. “At the moment, her is the appropriate pronoun.”
Sentinel eyed him. “What do you think of my son?”
“Moi? Sonnet is someone I’d hate to disappoint.” Jacques supposed there was nothing else for it. “Which is why I wanted a word. About wolvish traditions.”
