LMM 462: Well Suited

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who loves babies.

Well Suited

“A baby? Whose baby?”

Jacques would swear Rampant squeaked.

“Mine.” Sonnet firmed her stance. “Vanya is mine.”

“Another fosterling! And such a beautiful soul. Oh! He’s one of Michael’s, isn’t he?”

Rampant was in the midst of a thorough sniffening when the door snapped open, rattling the room’s painted screens.

Sentinel warily eyed his son’s dress, then his son’s escort.

Jacques twiddled his fingers.

“Eloquence will want a whiff!” exclaimed Rampant. “Ever, too.”

Sonnet managed a backward glance as her mother bustled her out. Jacques blew a kiss, waved, then casually remarked, “Motherhood suits Sonnet.”

Sentinel sank to the floor.

  2. Yes, it does. That was awkward for a moment but mom is fine and dad will come around. Everything will be fine in the end…and if it isn’t; it isn’t the end. (Yes, I brazenly stole that from The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel ❤️❤️It’s a wonderful saying).

  4. Jajajajafifkrmfkf… Sentinel’s gonna have a hell of a hard time trying to intimidate Jacques. Quite possibly, he’ll be the one Taking out a white handkerchief.
