Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the gender fluid one.

Jacques kissed the corner of Sonnet’s smile. To strengthen it. Or maybe because while Sonnet could be a lady, he was also unabashedly masculine, especially while stripped to his fundoshi.
“That one probably didn’t translate.”
Sonnet’s nostrils quavered. “It did.”
Jacques brazenly kissed the opposite corner. “For balance. Now. Feeling braver?”
A strong arm pulled him closer, and Sonnet pressed his lips to Jacques’ jaw, lingering there. Jacques’ heart leapt when Sonnet added a little nibble. He had no idea what it meant, but he hoped the wolf would do it again.
Sonnet’s eyes sparkled. “That probably didn’t translate either.”
