Open to Interpretation

Jacques kissed the corner of Sonnet’s smile. To strengthen it. Or maybe because while Sonnet could be a lady, he was also unabashedly masculine, especially while stripped to his fundoshi.

“That one probably didn’t translate.”

Sonnet’s nostrils quavered. “It did.”

Jacques brazenly kissed the opposite corner. “For balance. Now. Feeling braver?”

A strong arm pulled him closer, and Sonnet pressed his lips to Jacques’ jaw, lingering there. Jacques’ heart leapt when Sonnet added a little nibble. He had no idea what it meant, but he hoped the wolf would do it again.

Sonnet’s eyes sparkled. “That probably didn’t translate either.”
