Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. Cupping Sonnet’s face to encourage a better angle, Jacques pressed a careful kiss to the underside of Sonnet’s jaw. In wolvish—assuming he’d done it correctly—it was the sort of gesture shared by packmates on the cusp of a hunt.
A friendly gesture.
A kiss for courage.
Sonnet blinked against the extra shine in his eyes and exhaled shakily.

A soft gasp.
A warming of cheeks.
