443: No Position to Criticize

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the hot topic.

No Position to Criticize

In the kitchen, Sansa and Michael sat across the table from Adoona-soh. Conversation immediately lulled. Déjà vu.

“The dears are both hungry,” Sonnet murmured.

“Bring them,” urged Sansa.

Jacques started forward with Vanya, only to pivot when the woman bared a breast. “Lord. Warn a fellow.”

Sansa’s chuckle was entirely unapologetic.

When Michael came to fetch his son, he smiled ruefully. “Have you seen Argent?”

“He’s out front. Making a point.”

“I am here.” Argent stalked in.

“The American boy?”

“Ordinary. And exhaustingly eager. But I cannot fault their choices.”

Michael’s hand settled against Jacques’ back. “That would be hypocritical.”

  2. Jacques is most definitely not ordinary , Michael 😳😁 But I can well believe that in his own way, he is exhaustingly eager to please Argent!
