LMM 440: Incontrovertible

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one left carrying the baby.

Thoroughly distracted, Kyrie returned the baby to Sonnet, and he and Torloo ran to help Roo-nii. Ninook was not so easily turned aside.

“Lone wolves may not run with a pack, but they are not without support.”

Jacques agreed. “Everyone adores Sonnet.”

“Yourself included?”

“Incontrovertibly.”

Sonnet’s soft whine was definitely a protest.

Ninook’s posture shifted, and he handed off Vanya to Jacques. “I will say it again, Sonnet. You are welcome to run with us.”

“I understand.”

With a final sniff for Jacques and smile for the baby, Ninook strode off.

“Sonnet?”

“Y-yes?”

Jacques sweetly asked, “What was that about?”

  3. Ohhh, unspoken lines and questions. Maybe an ultimatum??? Or maybe just begrudged acceptance. I’m terrible at trying to figure out what’s going on so I’m just going to go with the flow. ❤️
