LMM 439: Crossing Paths

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who runs with wolves.

“Should I go?” asked Torloo, whose tail had puffed double at the precipitous arrival of an enormous silver fox.

“Naroo-soh is already there,” soothed Ninook.

Indeed, Adoona’s eldest had pushed his way between the young man and Argent’s muzzle. Naroo-soh was talking fast, but he paused to snap something over his shoulder.

Their unanticipated guest actually went full grovel.

Jacques would swear he was grinning. “Where’d you find him?”

“In America,” said Ninook. “Our paths crossed soon after the Emergence… under dire circumstances. His quick thinking saved many lives, including Torloo’s.”

Torloo helpfully added, “Coop’s the one who named Losi.”
