LMM 433: Wolves at the Gate

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. Wolves at the Gate

The Elderbough pack visited often enough that they’d claimed a patch of woods alongside the little-used driveway. The number of wolves at Stately House’s gate had recently increased, thanks to a large-scale evacuation of Kith from America.

Adoona-soh’s bondmate sat a little apart with Sonnet, deep in a conversation that cut off.

Jacques hesitated. “Are we interrupting?”

“You are Jacques.” Ninook’s tail swayed. “I have been remiss. Come, tell me about yourself.”

Jacques caught Sonnet’s furtive glance. Lord. Now what?

She blushed and nodded to the bundle in her arms. “It’s fine. She’ll need a whiff of her Uncle Jackie.”
