Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the obliging one.

Impertinence
“Well, that’s one way to make an entrance,” Jacques murmured.
Sonnet hummed and reached for his hand.
“You’re not mothering me, are you?”
“No.” The swing of his tail brushed pleasantly against the back of Jacques’ thighs.
“About your blaze.” He blundered forward. “I don’t know the protocol, so you’ll have to forgive my impertinence, but… to my knowledge, I’ve never seen it.”
“Do you want to?”
“Not if it’s an imposition.”
Sonnet smiled and shyly changed his question. “Will you look?”
“Look, as in don’t touch?”
With a soft laugh, he turned, lifting aside the length of his hair.
