When Traveling by Fox

Argent snatched everything from Nonny and marched out, leaving Jacques to follow. Amaranthine strength was certainly superior, and speed was a consideration. But this was necessary for another reason. Foxes didn’t have a boot.

Argent shifted, and their baggage went wherever it was that his clothes and shoes did. Neatly stowed for the journey ahead.

Jacques propped a hand on his hip. “Have you increased in size? Again?”

Blue eyes narrowed, and a slender muzzle loomed large.

Pressing his hand to it, Jacques murmured, “Another tail, too? Magnifique!”

Argent hushed him by burying him in silver fur.

Jacques regretted nothing.
