LMM 340: When Traveling by Fox

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s done this before.

When Traveling by Fox

Argent snatched everything from Nonny and marched out, leaving Jacques to follow. Amaranthine strength was certainly superior, and speed was a consideration. But this was necessary for another reason. Foxes didn’t have a boot.

Argent shifted, and their baggage went wherever it was that his clothes and shoes did. Neatly stowed for the journey ahead.

Jacques propped a hand on his hip. “Have you increased in size? Again?”

Blue eyes narrowed, and a slender muzzle loomed large.

Pressing his hand to it, Jacques murmured, “Another tail, too? Magnifique!”

Argent hushed him by burying him in silver fur.

Jacques regretted nothing.
