Shippo cheerfully relayed, “When he says, ‘Don’t go,’ what he really means is, ‘Don’t stay gone.’”
“Nooo,” Kagome sighed. “Is that what you thought?”
Sesshoumaru dare not answer. His strength had returned, but it seemed that fear could also return.
“Let me explain. Are you listening?”
He nudged her jaw. “Hnn.”
“I need to go back…”
Every instinct rebelled.
