Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with a lot to explain.

“Are you actually afraid of Argent?”
Inti retreated into wary silence.
Jacques kept talking. “I didn’t like to mention it earlier, but when you’re wrapped around me, I can tell when you’re trembling.”
The crosser didn’t deny it. He couldn’t.
“Many of our newcomers get stuck on the fact that he’s a fox. They get over it, though. Given time.” Time Inti hadn’t had. Time Jacques was clearly meant to make up for.
“Who comes? New comes?”
“Crossers.” Jacques didn’t think Inti’s blank look was false. “Lord. Don’t tell me he didn’t tell you about Stately House.”
“No, no, nothing.”

Right you are.
Argent made a big mistake, he is lucky to have Jacques.

See, this is what happens when you don’t explain yourself, Argent: confusion! It’s not just Hisoka-sensei that likes to be mysterious 😳😄

Poor Inti, no small wonder he’s nervous. A little info goes a long way.
