Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who is expected.

Private Entrance
Jacques ended chaos and sent Nonny off, promising to find him before the evening’s grooming session. Then he strode to the ornate door at the hall’s end and touched the glowing sigil beside it.
A section of wall vanished.
So foxy. Intruders could batter the false door for days, never realizing the real entrance to Argent’s den was two steps away.
Argent called, “Tsumiko, your delinquent student has returned.”
“Is there tea?” she asked.
“All is in readiness.” Argent sat in a rocker, shirt open, a baby curled against his bared blaze. “Now that he is back, Smythe can pour.”

I love the little peeks at domesticity!! Especially when it’s Argent, since we all know how he is really 😉

Nice and homey but I suspect that Jacques little vacation might have put him out just a tiny bit.
