Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with puppy dog eyes.

A Good Balance
“I brought someone,” said Jacques.
“You think I did not notice?”
“Well, I can be quite the distraction.”
Sansa pushed easily to her feet. “Who is this that you bring me? This beautiful wolf is your impulse?”
“One of my better ones.” Jacques accepted Sansa’s hand up. “Sonnet can be your support. She has experience in the kitchen.”
The wolf presented palms.
Sansa took hold and pulled Sonnet close, peering into those wide, whiskey eyes. “You will spoil them, yes?”
“Only in the nicest ways,” Sonnet promised.
“Is good balance, yes?” Sansa inquired of Argent.
He huffed.
It was settled.

I knew all would be well. Sansa knows she’s tough and balance is required. I gives Argent’s huff is less dramatic than throwing his hands up. I’m sure he was pleased with a smooth transition.
