Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the no-nonsense one.

Push
Jacques was on the official naproom rotation, but he slept here more than he slept in his own bed. Willingly. Because Kyrie had changed his life almost as much as Argent had. Turns out, Jacques was good with babies.
Sansa was overseeing naptime.
Whenever she did, the children had two options—sleep or do pushups. Which is why four of the bigger boys—a crew that included Timur—were toiling away in silence.
Jacques flopped onto the cushioned floor before her. “I’m home.”
Sansa grunted. “About time.”
Jacques was flattered. “You missed me?”
“If you aren’t going to sleep, push.”

Timur is too old for naptimes and Jacques is an adult, overseeing naptimes himself – probably with less sleep and more fun.
Anyway: Reading I got a vision:
Sansa says to Sonnet: do sleep or do pushups.
Sonnet:
My mum and da are as dominant as you are, my grandsire is more dominant and my great-grandsire is the most dominant of all.

Heavens, yes, Timur is a burly 15 and probably shaving by now. But he’s home for Dichotomy Day (it’s still Jan1) and helping out Mum by messing around with all the little crossers who are supremely impressed by one of their favorite big brother figures. ::twinkle::
Keeping track of which timeline I’m currently writing in is getting more complicated.

Helpful big siblings are THE BEST. SOMEONE has to keep the littles who Do Not Nap occupied.

LOL! Sansa would have made a terrific drill sergeant! I can just see her barking out orders! Yes, I’m sure those rascals in the nap room get away with everything when Jacques is in charge. Oh, my dear! If you can’t keep your timelines straight, we are all in trouble! I can imagine your storyboard is becoming very busy.
