Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with comely eyes.

Head of Security
“What are you …?” muttered the baffled administrator, whose gaze snapped to a point outside the window.
Jacques turned in time to see Sentinel Skybellow step lightly onto the sill. Crouching until they were eye-to-eye, the dog clansman radiated dominance.
“Aren’t you accommodating?” Jacques pivoted to present his palms while shamelessly matching Sentinel’s dominant stance. With a slow smile, he murmured, “And how comely! Sonnet has your eyes.”
“Aren’t you Smythe?” Sentinel’s gaze flicked to the others in the room. “What has happened?”
“A small misunderstanding, barely a trifle, easily cleared up.” Jacques practically purred, “If you’d be so good?”
