LMM 250: Sorted

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the exceptionally generous one.

Sentinel stepped into the office, and Isla offered her palms. “Sensei placed me here for the year. I’m in your care.”

“Very generous of Twineshaft,” Sentinel gruffly replied. “Shouldn’t you be in class, Miss Ward?”

There was a shuffle of papers, and the administrator weakly announced, “Isla Ward, Class 3-C.”

Jacques pulled Isla into a hug and spoke against her hair. “You are brilliant. You belong here. Never doubt that.”

“Nope, nein, nyet,” she promised, kissing his cheek.

“Off with you.”

She raced away without a backward glance.

Probably for the best, since Sentinel chose that moment to reassert dominance.

  2. Yes, sorted! Perfect title 😁

But, uh oh, who is Sentinel asserting his dominance over: Jacques or the admin (the admin, please, please, please let it be the admin!)

  3. Yay! Got through that moment. But now..just in case Jacques gets a little too big for his britches or snatching Sonnet away to Stately House?
