LMM 246: Prima Donna

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the entitled one.

Patting Isla’s shoulder Jacques said, “My inheritance is far less auspicious than the ones you received, but it might just do.”

“What do you intend to do?”

“My mother is a prima donna, my father’s a prig, and my brother’s a prat.” With a wry smile, he said, “I’m going to go out there and get my way. For you.”

Isla stood.

Jacques waved her back. “Leave this to me.”

“I want to see.” She reasoned, “It may be instructional for a diplomat in training.”

“Perhaps you’re right.” With an entirely human shift in posture, Jacques murmured, “Watch and learn.”

  2. Looks like he is about to brazen his way into New Saga too. I pity the poor person who is about to get that treatment! I’m gleefully waiting!

  3. Jacques will show a hateful behavior to help Isla. He will play acting. She will be impressed.
And Jacques will show his forte – in a short time with few words and the right posture he will bring an unhappy child near panic back to diplomatic thinking and feeling safe. This is real art. Argent and Hisoka will love him for it.
Jacques is incredibly good at making people stronger and building alliances.
