Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s trying to be polite.

Skipping Forms
“This is a high school.”
Jacques countered, “Isla may have skipped a few forms, but this is where she belongs.”
“If you’ll simply check,” urged Isla. “You’ll see…!”
“That name isn’t here.”
Isla angled her head, pursed her lips. “That’s the first-year roster. I’m a third-year.”
She was holding her own, but the administrator’s incredulity only increased.
“Isla Ward,” Jacques repeated, smile tight. “Third year.”
“Are you meant to be her father?
“I have neither the years nor the pedigree,” Jacques cordially assured.
“Because journalists aren’t permitted inside.”
“Do check the correct list,” begged Isla. “Or I shall be late!”

Someone really didn’t do their due diligence huh? Trying to tell someone closely connected to Hisoka-sensei, and Michael Ward they are in the wrong place? Seriously? No one makes Isla late for classes!!

I love this for so many reason, but namely:
a) the sass combo of these two is astounding and that administrator doesn’t know what they’re getting into
b) I love knowing what’s happening elsewhere on the campus at this moment!!
