Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who loves turning heads.

Taking a Turn
Jacques declined the offer of a cab, citing the need for a walk after a week in bed. He knew his way around Keishi and could call on the Starmarks if he needed assistance.
Strolling through a shopping district reminded him that New Years was rather a big deal in Japan. Unfortunately, the sky was looking far from festive.
“It’s going to rain today.”
People were staring.
With a genteel smile, he remarked, “You’d think a city overrun by dogs would be used to tallish men.”
Jacques basked in the attention.
Until the brooding sky spattered upon his good mood.

Just because they’re used to tallish men, doesn’t mean they’re used to your glamorous self Jacques!

Apparently Mother Nature can not be swayed by good looks. Maybe he will find someone interesting to share an umbrella 🌂 with!
