Chapter 236: Steadfast

Sesshoumaru was pleasantly surprised that Kagome calmed so swiftly. He’d been hoping to encourage her toward greater trust. For the sake of their fourfold bond. More or less.

“The sky is so clear,” she remarked. “One of the nicest blues.”

“I think it’s a steadfast sort of color.”

Sesshoumaru wasn’t sure what she meant, so he simply hummed again.

“Calm,” she added, as if still searching for the right word.

He inhaled deeply and murmured, “Like you.”

“What?” Kagome wriggled and craned her neck. “Are you saying I’m blue?”

“No.” He dipped lower, nosing her throat. “Your scent is.”

  2. If she sees the colors, he scents the colors, does that mean Kohaku will understand the colors? And what about Inuyasha and Shishi? What connection do they have with the colors?
