Kagome couldn’t turn her head to check Sesshoumaru’s cheek stripes without—practically—kissing that cheek, so she tweaked the edge of his sleeve. Wrist stripes could tattle.
But Sesshoumaru caught her questing fingers. “Are you thinking of me?”
Her nod incurred a nuzzle.
She whispered, “Do you?”
“I have considered you.”
Startled enough to seek his gaze, Kagome turned, and it was a little like a nuzzle.
He regarded her from under lowered lids, and their contented blue calmed her.
The tiniest crinkle suggested that he was hiding a smile against her cheek.
Sesshoumaru asked, “Does this also please you?”
