Sesshoumaru noted the care given to word choice. Not a walk. A wander. “Shishi may choose.”
Kohaku helped Kagome scramble onto Shishi’s back. Her delight reached Sesshoumaru in layers: saturating her scent, quickening her pulse, heightening her color, brightening the gaze that sought his, inviting him closer.
There should have been no hurry, but Sesshoumaru was behind her almost before he realized. Pressing and pulling until he was satisfied with their fit, he nudged her ear and softly inquired, “Does this please you?”
