Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the trusting one.

Hunting Party
In retrospect, Jacques supposed he should have notified someone he was leaving.
The Starmark compound was adjacent to New Saga’s campus, a pleasant walk through a private wood. But he’d parted two precious boys from two protective fathers.
Hardly wise.
Still, Jacques rather enjoyed stirring up the kind of trouble that left him surrounded by strapping males. Especially ones as handsome as Harmonious Starmark’s kin.
Merit loomed.
Laud glared.
“Dear me,” Jacques drawled. “Is anything the matter?”
Prospect covered a smile.
Eloquence didn’t.
Valor rolled his eyes and winked.
Harmonious shouldered through and announced, “For the record, I wasn’t worried.”

Question: “Eloquence didn’t.” …Does that mean Eloquence wasn’t smiling or not covering his smile. I am trying to figure out how many Starmarks are annoyed by their human quarry.
