Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who likes storms.

Dragged In
Once the festival ended, the sky darkened, and the sea churned. As if the weather held off for their sakes… but was making up for lost time. Most of the household took shelter in the naproom, which Michael warded against the worst of the thunder.
Jacques liked a little crash and sizzle in his life, so he was loitering at the kitchen window when Ginkgo dragged in.
“All battened down. Guess we won’t float away just yet.” Pushing back his hood, Ginkgo flicked his ears and jerked a thumb. “Look who I found.”
Hisoka Twineshaft stood dripping on the doormat.
