Sinder’s eyes widened. “We’re part of a team! The team’s the secret! Juuyu’s not … mine-mine.”

Jacques tried to fathom his reaction. “But you want him to be?”

“What? NO! I’m … damn.”

“I told you to stay inside.” The older brother.

While he scolded in accented undertones, Jacques cataloged cascading black curls, flame-colored eyes, and an exquisitely-tailored suit. Gorgeous.

Jacques stepped between them. “Sinder was correcting a minor misunderstanding. I thought you were lovers.”

The brother blinked.

Sinder blushed. “Semantic difficulties. He has different uses for partners.”

Jacques smirked.

“Business partners,” stated Juuyu.

“Of a covert nature,” whispered Sinder.
