Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the charming one.

Virtuous Woman
“Dad’ll bring Mom home first. Modesty is one of her virtues.”
“A moment, please,” Jacques begged and hurried to Tsumiko. “Your brother is charming. A good boy.”
She brightened and asked something.
Argent translated, “What do you think of Suuzu?”
“Seems a good sort.”
But Argent didn’t translate, even though Tsumiko looked between them.
Jacques asked, “What am I meant to say?”
Argent’s gaze drifted to Akira’s friend. “Watch them. Watch over them. I want your opinion.”
“As a butler? As an uncle?” Another possibility made Jacques uneasy. Tsumiko was religious. “Is she worried Suuzu will… be a bad influence?”

Can’t wait to see where this goes.

I feel that Suuzu is protective of him and has gathered him into his nest. The birds are a secretive lot and may have an agenda that Argent is wary of. We just seem to be finding out more about them as the stories unfold.

I, for one, hope that Akira eventually accepts Suuzu as a life partner. They are so cute together! Tsumiko probably won’t have an issue. Religious doesn’t always mean conservative 🙂

Anyone notice Gingko refer to Tsumiko as “mom”? It was cute and an adorable touch!
At least I think it was Gingko who said it and was referring towards Tsumiko…
