Chapter 164: Safe
Sesshoumaru pointedly ignored Masa’s shock while the monk cheerfully explained about the dichotomy of an inu-youkai’s existence.
“This is a mere glimpse of the magnitude of Sesshoumaru-sama’s power.” Miroku obliquely indicated Shishi safely huddled against Sesshoumaru’s chest, Kagome teasing tangles from his ruff. “We are fortunate in our alliance.”
Sesshoumaru stared hard at Miroku. Did he think their future could be built upon flattery and fickle fortune?
“It’s more than that,” interjected Kagome. “We belong to each other. You, too, Masa-san.”
Miroku’s expression grew thoughtful, and he bowed.
Sesshoumaru pointedly ignored him, but he allowed his tail to thump. Once.

Love the tail thump. Just one…don’t want to spoil them. 🥰
