LMM 126: Worst of the Worst

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who isn’t in the garden.

Worst of the Worst

Nonny collided and hid his face against Jacques’ hip. It took a few moments to realize that the kid was swearing at him. In tears.

Jacques picked Nonny up. “Mon dieu. What’s happened?”

“You left!”

“Not really.”

“Everyone thought you were gone!”

“You missed me?”

Nonny punched his arm. “I hate you.”

“Hey, nonny, nonny, forgive me,” Jacques coaxed. “I was a thoughtless beast not to take my leave properly.”

“The worst. The worst of the worst.”

“Is anyone else angry?”

“Everyone!” Nonny assured.

Lacking corroborating evidence, he asked, “Where is everyone?”

“Garden. There’s a party for the real kids.”

  3. Awww..he’s a real kid. Maybe the party will welcome him back. I can’t imagine that they forgot to let everyone know he was snuggling with Lapis.
