LMM 124: A Good Night’s Rest

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the fortunate one.

Jacques held up seven fingers.

Sapphire eyes widened. “Did I really? You must be a good influence.”

“Is a week overlong?”

“Usually, I catch three-day naps between appointments.” With a sleepy smile, Lapis asked, “May I depend on you in the future?”

“I’ve never been dependable before.”

“Me, neither. Not to look at me.”

“Hisoka speaks highly of you. His dragon.”

“He’d argue the point.”

  2. I love those first warm sleepy moments when you wake up. He is becoming more dependable all the time. Nice to have that acknowledged. Jacques must be preening with that last comment! Such a nice chapter.
