Chapter 151: Mangy

Kagome was already moving, but Inuyasha snagged her elbow.

“Oi, it’s not safe.”

Turning to protest, she stilled at the look in Sesshoumaru’s narrowed eyes. And at the rich blue of his stripes. So many new shades.

Inuyasha may have stopped her, but Kohaku hurried onward.

Oi! Don’t be an idiot!”  Under his breath, Inuyasha muttered, “Don’t get pissed if I drop you.”

“Hnn.”

Another growl emanated from the mangy creature, ending in a resigned whimper.

Like it was glad someone had come to end their suffering.

Like it wanted to die.

Kagome reached out in dismay, whispering, “Not again.”
