I’ve been on a CLAMP kick lately, in part because the more of their stories you read, the more you appreciate their stories. The ladies of CLAMP are known for story overlaps and allusions, and a savvy reader can Continue reading

I’ve been pondering what to put on this blog. There’s plenty I could do, but telling stories is what I love best. So I’m dusting off Clumsy. This is an IY fanfic I began back in 2011, and it involves a fave plot device—genderbending. I’ll post two chapters a week (only here, not on FanFiction.net) each Tuesday and Friday.
Story Summary: AU. She was the most sought-after demoness at court, but no suitor could conquer her. He was only trying to feed his family when his stray arrow felled a mythical beast. A kind-hearted man. A fierce lady. A romance told in bits and pieces. Genderbent SK.

At the footer of every Lord Charming update, I record the original posting date, the writing prompt, and the word count. The notations are a relic of my involvement in everything from the IYFG & LJ contest communities to Dokuga’s Drabble/Drawble Nights. But ever since I started updating Lord Charming again, I’ve had nothing but a lonely “N/A” on the prompt line. Let’s change that. Continue reading
I receive regular emails from readers letting me know that the art links on my FanFiction.net profile are broken. Frustrating, I know. Way back when I created that compilation, the site allowed exterior linking. Now, they do not. So I’m moving the list here. Continue reading
Fandom terminology can be hard to fathom and tricky to explain. I sometimes blurt out things while watching TV/movies, only to receive strange looks from the uninitiated. Like… “I ship them so hard!” Or… “Well, that’s awkward. Did their OTP just go OT3?” As a veteran alt shipper and ficcer, I’m sometimes asked by newbies what OTP means… or if I have one. So let’s go there. Continue reading
I thought it was strange that you of all people would have romantic interest in someone. This makes so much more sense!” —Lord Charming, Chapter 63: “Romantic Interest”
I opened a FORTHRIGHT account on GoodReads for two reasons:
“Is that a girl? Or… a boy…?” —Chikahito, Gate 7
Chikahito Takamoto, a high school boy from Tokyo with a fondness for history in general and Kyoto in particular, pays a visit to that city’s landmarks. At a shrine, he spots two men and a beautiful (yet confusingly androgynous) kid sitting in a tree. Shadowy serpents suddenly attack, and these mysterious strangers do battle, saving Chikahito’s life.
He faints and wakes in their company…at the Uri-Shichiken Hana Machi. The men assume he’s ordinary enough, but they can’t exclude him when they envelope an area, and they can’t erase his memory. Chikahito wants an explanation, but the pretty kid grabs his hand, drags him out front, and kisses him. Continue reading
Fanfiction can be a risky business. Don’t you hate delving into a story only to discover that it’s a WIP? Waiting for that next chapter can be so… ugh! Lest I leave you story-stuck, here is a list of my completed tales (in no particular order) from the InuYasha fandom. As time allows, I’m hoping to pull more of my unfinished stories into this list.
