Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal. If you need a place to react, confer, or kick up a fuss, this is the spot. I’ll enjoy your enthusiasm, I might be willing to clarify small points, but I reserve the right to evade questions that will be answered later in the series. ::twinkle::
[[[WARNING: HERE THERE BE SPOILERS]]]

She wasn’t aware of her gift’s significance, yet he expects to be courted.
Kimiko enrolls at the In-between’s prestigious new high school, which is designed to promote the integration of the human and inhuman races. As a reaver, she’s supposed to act as peacemaker, bridging a formidable cultural gap, but the other two members of her triad don’t need any help in that department. Akira and Suuzu have been friends since middle school. Instead, the boys must rally behind Kimiko when she inadvertently initiates a courtship with Eloquence Starmark.

If you’ve already begun reading, hold onto your comments and put them on the Squee Post. (I want this thread to remain spoiler free.)

You’re making me blush. You can still take part in the Blurb-My-Book Challenge, which will put your accolades on the cover of Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox. (I’ll email it to you, to cherish or to share.) Here are three more participants… what would you say?

I have pre-release jitters, so I’m treating myself to an evening of NaNoWriMo prep. With side-by-side documents, I’m formatting, outlining, and gently informing the spellchecker that wolf names aren’t typos. (Doon-wen is not pleased.) Clan names are also making Word grumpy. (Woe to those who bear the Sunfletch or Woodacre crest.) Even a few of my “ordinary” surnames are snagging in the filters, as are just about any names with Japanese roots.
Anyone else gearing up for NaNoWriMo? I’m glad for writing buddies >>
Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who grew up in France.

Say Something Nice. There’s still time to take part in the Blurb-My-Book Challenge, which is really just for fun. I’m not looking for Serious Business endorsements. It’s more of a chance for you to embrace your inner critic & promote your own books or blogs. Dan and Lexie have already played along…

Need reasons to order signed books from me? Here’s another one—stamps. Adding my stamp to the first book may have started a trend. We designed another for the second book. Just one of those little details I love so well! ::twinkle::

If you haven’t run across this tidbit of information, let me restate it here. The Amaranthine Saga is slated to have seven books. (I planned that much—and named all the mikos—before I began writing the first book.)

I won’t mess with half books, so the main series won’t have a volume 0.5 or 3.5, but I’ll play around a little with my free “fanfic,” Lord Mettlebright’s Man, which may just plod along in the background of the whole series. The collection I’m calling Songs of the Amaranthine will contain stand-alone short stories that predate the Emergence.

Need reasons to order signed books from me? Here’s another one—the flyleaf. I’ll sign the bookplate on this oh-so-pretty page. I adore all the chrysanthemums scattered across this cover.

Little detail: we chose this particular bookplate shape in order to emulate a traditional Japanese bell.
