Clutter

Tuesday’s Tote. I’ve been adding a new fandom book cover to Goodreads & to the fanfic site each week. (Think of it as weekly cover reveals!) As an added bonus, the new pattern becomes available in my Threadless & TeePublic shopfronts. Totes, masks, and note cards are available. This week we’re adding an homage to Clutter.

Summary: Mrs. Higurashi decides to help her daughter put her life together; enter Sesshoumaru, professional organizer extraordinaire. A romantic comedy told in 100-word snippets. Alternate Universe. [Sesshoumaru x Kagome]

Can Confirm. As many of you know, when I was plotting out the Amaranthine Saga, I intentionally borrowed bits and pieces from my fandom stories (mostly settings or scenarios) so my longtime readers could enjoy guessing what’s to come & catching allusions. The Saga diverges vastly, but I’m sticking to my plan. Which is why I can confirm that Bk5 borrows a teensy bit from Clutter. Look forward to Fumiko and the Finicky Nestmate. ::twinkle::

Every Name a Story

Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal. There are three wolves in Class 3-C at New Saga High School, all from the Nightspangle pack in America. They’re used to mingling with humans, having grown up in an urban enclave, but they’re less familiar with the language and culture of Japan. Even so, Hanoo’s leadership qualities shine through.

Say, did you catch this mention back in Bk2?

Lapis arched his brows. “You require taming, so I am throwing you to the wolves. They clearly understand the process.”

Hanoo said, “We do. It was our job back home. Although it’s been a few years since we had to deal with a strong aversion.”

“Not since Jiminy.” Yoota rolled his eyes. “What a handful he was.”

ART: Summer Friends

“May the coming season find you richer for the bonds we will share.” Mikoto’s basically grown up at a reaver summer camp, so he’s used to friends who come and go. I keep calling this a buddy!pic for a buddy!fic, because I ship many ships that aren’t romantic in nature: friendship, kinship, mentorship, partnership. ::twinkle::

They caught up to Timur in the kitchen of a modest house. He had his arm around the shoulders of someone who looked like a young samurai who’d mislaid his swords. Wavy black hair swept back from a broad face with strong cheekbones and a stronger jaw, but his quiet demeanor failed to intimidate.

“This is my new sparring partner, Mikoto,” said Timur.

By the look on the young man’s face, this was news. And good news, at that.

“He’s headman of Wardenclave, so mind your manners.”

Not that Timur was showing even a smidge of respect. And Ginkgo judged that Mikoto appreciated the oversight.

LMM 178: Enviable Position

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The Bargain

Tuesday’s Tote. I’ve been adding a new fandom book cover to Goodreads & to the fanfic site each week. (Expect that trend to continue.) And as an added bonus, the revealed pattern becomes available in my Threadless & TeePublic shopfronts. Totes, masks, and note cards are available. This week we’re adding an homage to The Bargain.

Summary: Lessons learned in childhood last a lifetime. They mold young minds and shape their futures. The things that left the biggest impressions on Sesshoumaru were his father… his teacher… and an egg. Canon Divergence. Oneshot.

Childhood Days. This short story is notable because it introduced Hisoka-sensei to the world and inspired Unspoiled, which is arguably my most famous fanfiction. If you take it a step further, it could be argued that without Hisoka-sensei, the Amaranthine Saga wouldn’t exist. But I honestly love this little ficlet for its own sake.
