Winner

Camp NaNoWriMo. I kept my goal low (just 20,000 words) because book releases have a way of eating up my usual writing routines. But I persevered and validated a win. Give me a couple more weeks, and I may be able to set a release date for the third Songs of the Amaranthine story. ::twinkle::

Delivered

Pre-order Arrival. Ever since the delays that accompanied the release of the first book in the Amaranthine Saga, I’ve placed my own books on pre-order with Amazon so I get the same communication as readers. Yesterday afternoon, my copy of Tamiko and the Two Janitors arrived without a fuss. Only two days after release day. Which means they express-ordered copies in order to fulfill orders. Not bad, Amazon. Not bad at all. ::twinkle::

Already Restocking

Signed Books. I have another stack of books ready to bring to the post office this afternoon. This shipment just about cleaned me out! (Good problem to have.) Restock order has already been placed with the printer. And hey, if you want to sneak into this batch, I do still have 2-3 books on hand. More about how to secure one is on the SIGNED BOOKS page >>

ART: Ash and Kip

Two Janitors. It’s not often that a book has 3 titular characters (okay, okay, Betsy, Tacy, and Tib comes to mind, but that’s old school and really beside the point). I showed you Fox’s portrait of Tamiko on release day. Meet the janitors!

ART: Tami Reaverson

The Third Miko. Tamiko and the Two Janitors, the third book in the Amaranthine Saga, introduces everyone to Principal Tami Reaverson, who has big plans for her small town.

“How was the conference?”

Tami’s heart skipped with nervous excitement. “Amazing. And intense. We had classes from morning to night, but they were all so interesting. And I was able to meet real Amaranthine!”

“Look at you, snubbing the slang!”

“Our first lessons were in etiquette.” Tami shook her head. “Everyone’s always saying Rivven, even on the news. Most of the attendees didn’t even know there was a proper term.”

“But they set you straight?”

“Kindly.” She patted her satchel. “I brought back so much literature, and some of the information packets are thick as dictionaries. Even if we’re not selected, I’m going to read it all.”

Amaranthine Saga 03, Tamiko and the Two Janitors by FORTHRIGHT

In doing her part for world peace, she puts one crosser’s whole world at risk.  Conspiracy theories, werewolf scares, and protest rallies have hampered the peace process in America, where social and political unrest keep most Amaranthine from declaring themselves. Those not in seclusion rely heavily on illusion to mask their true nature.

As the newly appointed principal of a small elementary school, Tamiko Reaverson is doing her part for world peace. She rallies her community’s support and applies for Hisoka Twineshaft’s school revitalization project, which will bring Amaranthine to her hometown. Little does Tami realize that Fletching was founded by one of the oldest and largest urban enclaves in the United States. And two of her staunchest supporters—janitors at her school—share a secret neither wants exposed.

Flyleaf

Sign Here. On the flyleaf of every book in the Amaranthine Saga, we’ve created a bookplate. It’s an old tradition from a bygone century, but they’re a pretty way for me to personalize signed copies. For Tamiko and the Two Janitors, we went with a circle.

I’ll be at the post office again tomorrow. If you’d like signed copies of any of the books in the Amaranthine Saga, details are found here – SIGNED BOOKS >>

Stamping

Personal Touches. If you’ve ordered books from me before, you know that I stamp them. Sometimes it’s hard to decide what to put on them … a little detail that’s significant to the story, but not too big a spoiler. This time around, there’s a moon in the mix. I played around, trying to settle on colors.

Here’s a refresher peek at Kimiko. For Tsumiko, it’s just the 4thy stamp.
