LMM 606: Volunteer

Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the willing one.

Jacques resigned himself to four months of utter disarray. Everyone wanted a turn sitting with the forlorn father-to-be, who’d stranded himself in the English countryside.

Jacques wondered if Glintrubble was anywhere near Merritt House.

And then he distracted himself by polishing the silver tea service.

Which was why he was in the vicinity when Deece approached Argent, who was about to dash off again.

“Fend wants to pact with Timur.” With a hand atop his Kith son’s broad head, Deece quietly added, “If you bring him, he’ll stay.”

Argent’s tension eased somewhat, and he bowed low to Fend. “Thank you.”

  2. Thank you so much for all your stories – especially this one!😊🙏It feels a bit as if you had written it just for me, there are so many parallels to my life. No Amaranthine but being Uncle Tony for a lot of kids.😁Wonderful to get so many glimpses at Jaques life. Thanks also for Sonnet and all the other diverse characters!❤️☀️
