Good News Travels Fast
Jacques hissed as he swung a leg over, then slipped down into Deece’s waiting arms.
Colt shifted into speaking form and answered, “Something was there, and we avoided it. Under the circumstances, we couldn’t risk a closer look.” Big hands framed Jacques’ face. “More importantly… how are you feeling?”
“Good of you to ask. Nothing a cup of tea and a long soak won’t put to rights.”
Deece said, “Cat and Canary are readying the bath for you.”
Jacques perked up. “They’re here?”
“They will be. Often,” said their younger brother. “Uncle approved their plan. They are joining the enclave.”
