Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the wolf.

Because Wolves
Jiminy’s smile was the same as usual, but he was as jumpy as a cricket. Jacques finally asked, “Am I making you nervous?”
“Tiny bit. No offense.”
“How can I put you at ease?”
“Well… I’m a wolf.”
A simple fact that had Jacques smoothly adjusting his posture. “I’m not opposed to wolvish practices. Do you need a whiff?”
“Sorry.”
“Lord, don’t apologize. I’m the farthest thing from shy.”
Jiminy took a dominant stance and opened his arms.
Jacques stepped into a firm embrace.
At a soft scuffle from the doorway, Jacques held out an arm to welcome one more.

Jacques is just so good. He squeezed into a crack to try and make a place for himself, turned out he was a perfect fit for something a bit more spacious.

Loving and affectionate greetings Forthright!
I sort of feel that I compliment you very often and fear you will overlook my messages because of it.
I hope not, because I have this annoying habit of telling it like I see it.
I read a lot…. A LOT LOT…. Minimum is a book a day. I love whimsy, and a lot of the great writers of our time do too.
I read all kinds of books but love fantasy the most because I see them as fairytales for adults. However, with the official addition of fantasy as a genre, some books that should be considered literature are typecasted as fantasy and thus ignored by people who I think would love them.
If you’ve read Salman Rushdie or Gabriel García Márquez, you can see that they too build a world that is just one step to the side.
Your agent should push this more. Also on having your books translated. You’d be a big hit here in Europe.
Anyways just wanted to say that I love your writing and your shorts. I save them up for a bad day because they always make me feel better.
E-hugs and a great big smile from Victoria
