Trulore Clinic. We’re a month past the release of Pimiko and the Uncharted Island, so I’m going to begin sharing some of the art FoxOfTwilight created for the book. To be extra-safe (so as not to spoiler those of you who haven’t been able to read), I’ll keep the full art under a cut.

“There is a dragon.”
“I knew it!” Boon pounded against the barrier, dragging his claws over its unrelenting surface. “I knew I was close.”
“Yes, yes, yes. Argent wants them, too.” Inti wearily chanted, “Dragon, dragon, dragons.”

I don’t often (get to?) write villains, but these dragons have been lurking in the backdrop from the beginning. During the early stages of drafting Bk6, I nicknamed Kodoku “Dr. Creeper,” and it stuck so thoroughly, I made it canon:
As he rolled out of bed, Jacques softly called, “Anjou, Eiji, a little help?”
The closet door slid open, and the two felines slunk into the open, looking rumpled and relaxed and enviably sated. Indicating Akira, he said, “Dragon at the door. I need camouflage. Rub up against him. If Dr. Creeper takes a whiff, he needs to think orgy, not monkey.”
Eyes bright, they set to work.

Kodoku is quite genial, mild-mannered whenever he’s getting his way, and truly, deeply awful. Many of you have been asking if he’s the Rogue. Nope, I’m afraid not. But Kodoku is his parent, which gives you a hint to the Rogue’s upbringing.
