Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with jitters.

Carouse with Impunity
“Sonnet knows I’m here. That might calm any jitters, knowing there’s a… well, I’m like a referee. Making sure things don’t go too far.”
Jacques asked, “How do you define too far?”
“Loosely. Nights like this, the boundaries are down. Bond-building isn’t a danger, so all’s fair.”
“Carouse with impunity?”
“Be your sexy self. And… he’ll probably be a cute little booger, but if by some fluke, things take an uncomfortable turn, I’m there.”
“Literally? Good thing I have exhibitionist tendencies.”
Ginkgo snorted. “I’m no voyeur. My wards are tuned. Just say the word.” And leaning close, he whispered, “Pompadour.”
