Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who identifies as a wolf.

Lovelorn
Once the international call ended, Argent hooked Jacques’ arm and steered him straight into the conservatory. “Tell me.”
“It’ll work.”
“Tell me something else.”
Jacques hesitated. “Jiminy’s smitten…?”
“One does not require eagle eyes to spot a wolf in love. Rather, who is Kip.”
So Argent had been present far sooner than he let on. Sly thing. “Squirrel clan. He hijacked Jiminy’s computer, seeking advice on a delicate matter. Lapis turned me out before I could learn anything truly enticing, but… Kip radiated lovelorn.”
“Since the topic is broached.” Argent’s arms folded. “Perhaps you should also tell me about Sonnet.”
