Front Seat, Back Seat
During the drive home, Sonnet was quieter than usual.
Jacques didn’t mind. When it came to wolves, words weren’t the thing.
Dipping into his repertoire of postures, he did the best he could, given his lack of tail.
Sonnet responded, easing into a slightly bewildered, if receptive attitude.
Pleased, Jacques hummed and drummed his fingers on the steering wheel… and let his imagination run a little wild.
Sonnet seemed intrigued.
Then he turned the tables, adjusting into a feline pose that probably translated just fine.
“J-jacques…?”
“Hmm?”
She leaned forward. “Are you… doing that on purpose?”
“Entirely. Is it working?”
