Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one who’s proven himself.

Proving Journey
“Are you serious? Or are you keeping me from chasing tales?”
Argent’s gaze held amusement. “Both.”
“Right. Well.” Jacques finally answered, “I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be, so we can safely assume that my journey brought me here.”
His lordship huffed. “You can be surprisingly sensible at times.”
“What other sorts of things do you suppose Jimsy has to do? As a wolf, I mean.”
“I hardly know. Traditions vary by pack.” Argent’s brows arched. “If you want a lecture, ask Isla.”
Jacques pouted. “What if my questions are … delicate?”
Argent blinked, sat, and said, “Ask.”

Isla is a prodigy but there are some things you may not want to ask a child ❤️ Jacques is ever mindful of his charges.
