Claimer: I do hereby claim all rights and responsibility for the characters in this series of vignettes because the Amaranthine Saga is mine. (Which means I should probably behave myself since anything I say or do could be taken as canon.) Indulge the lot of us, especially the one with an ulterior motive.

“Lots, but far from everything. Wolves have a distinct language, complex traditions, and unique lore.”
Jacques ventured, “Like… oh, say… moon festivals?”
“Yes! I’ve been memorizing the Seven Score Moons, the basis for the wolvish calendar, but it’s complicated. There are several migrating moons, and certain moons are only named as they occur.”
“So if I needed to research a specific moon…?”
She straightened. “Which one?”
“Perhaps the upcoming new moon.”
Isla frowned. “I’ve only studied the full moons!”
“Alas.”
“Non!” She reached for the ON button on her father’s computer. “We can ask Reaver Foster. He’s bound to know.”

Aarrrgh, so close to knowing! Thank heavens for Isla. The facts are near. Whatever the outcome I’m sure Jaques will be well equipt and well dressed?
