LMM 446: More than a Match

Latching the valise, Jacques eyed Argent critically. “You won’t leave this house until Tsumiko tidies your hair.”

His lordship managed to look beleaguered.

“Bid her adieu. I’ll see if Michael wants to borrow my new aviator goggles.”

Argent snorted. “Surely not.”

“The contents of a gentleman’s wardrobe should be a match for any occasion.”

They parted ways, and Jacques found Michael, adjusted his cloak pin, then gave him passing marks. “Do try to keep him tidy.”

Michael laughed. “No promises. Glintrubble’s collection will have me thoroughly diverted.”

“Right, then.” Jacques warned, “I’ll be calling you at regular intervals. Pick up.”
